For Artists

Sam Callahan Reuse Bookmaking at the Hermitage Library

TGCR wants to work with you! We believe in supporting artists in their creative endeavors.  We do this in a variety of ways:

1. Teach.  We offer lead artist opportunities for individuals to teach workshops. Our workshops include reusable materials which we often will have in supply.  We believe in compensating artists for teaching. Do you have a special skill that you’d like to teach using reuse?  Please fill our our Lead Reuse Artist Application. Applications are reviewed by our program committee (made up of artists, teachers and community members) and put into que for assignment.  Some workshops are predesigned in theme, but often there is an opportunity for the lead artist to be creative with their project. We encourage innovative ideas that make the community dig deeper and think harder about reusing.

2. Sponsor.  Are you a reuse artist?  Do you want to be included in a Green Gallery show?  Fill out the Reuse Artist Sponsorship Inquiry to be considered. Your art must be created from reusable materials.

3.  Get supplies.  What kinds of supplies do you use in your art?  Are you interested in reusable materials or materials that were donated vs. buying something brand new?  We’d like to help! We believe in providing materials free or low cost.  Please fill out our Artist Materials Preference Form. We’ll let you know when we have materials and other opportunities that coincide with your efforts.

4. Promote. We love to promote those that are already reusing in our community through newsletter, social media, and good old fashion networking.  Let us know what you are doing, what you are selling, and where you are showing! Email photos and details to
