TG strives to provide an excellent opportunity to learn about group collaboration, setting up systems, as well exercise endless creative thinking. Internship opportunities at TGCR to are a great way to build experience in and skills in many different fields. Interns work closely with the TGCR staff committees, volunteers and partnering organizations. TGCR internships are unpaid, however, there are opportunities to receive free supplies and workshops. Green Gallery Assistant– Work with our gallery artists and TG staff on all the dynamics of gallery shows and artist marketplace. Ideal candidates are interested in gallery procedures, working as liaison between gallery and artists, gallery and show preparation, and may be requested to assist in daily organizational needs including customer service and material donation processing.
Reuse Specialist– Ideal candidates are familiar with utilizing social media, have exceptional customer service skills, are self-starters, proactive, good communicators and trustworthy. She/he will help organize donations, assist customers, assist with daily organizational operations, be knowledgeable about our Green Gallery artists and Turnip Green events/activities. Flexible 4-20 hours per week.
Education Assistant – Ideal candidate can dig down to the details, but also think big. She/he will help build collaborative partnerships, assist in program development and funding, work on events, and participate in the program committee. 10 hours per week. Some opportunity for less hours/week for specific projects.
Marketing Coordinator– Ideal candidates are familiar with utilizing social media, have exceptional verbal/written communication skills and are strong creative and critical thinkers. She/he will assist with newsletter writing, social media, website updating, SEO, blog writing, and participate in some daily operations. 5-10 hours per week.
Event Coordinator – Ideal candidates have good communications skills, are multi-taskers, and work well in a collaborative environment. She/he will assist with TG events both in the shop and in the community. Flexible hours.
Shop Department Lead – Ideal candidates have good organizing and presentation skills. They must value reuse materials and find interesting ways to use and promote them. Will work with the Education Coordinator on materials that might be beneficial to their department. Flexible hours – minimum 4 hours per week.
