Find the perfect blend of art, horticulture, and wellness with this therapeutic workshop led by Planted Self Care owner Christine Croom, MS. Learn about mandalas (Sanskrit for “circle”), which hold symbolic and meditative qualities. Participants will then mindfully arrange dried florals and plant material in a mandala design.
No experience necessary; all materials will be provided.
Participants in this workshop will learn to construct their own woven ornament using basic macrame techniques, taught by local textile artist Jennifer Fleischer of Ibu Textiles.

Please note: This is an independent, open-studio opportunity and will not include formal instruction. Turnip Green is bringing a holiday block printing workshop to the Nashville Public Library: Goodlettsville Branch! Join us from 3:30-5:00pm on December 9 to discover techniques in block printing. Working with Safelight Imaging, participants will use found objects and sun exposure to print their own uniquely designed canvas tote!

This four week course will build upon students knowledge of relief printing, learning about the beautiful craft of letterpress. The course will be a mixture of lecture and hands-on printing teaching students everything from the history, typesetting, makeready, ink mixing and of course - printing!
