EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES


  • Teaching Artists are independent contractors who serve as artistic and environmental educators at TGCR education events, such as after school programs, library workshops, festivals, offsite programs, private workshops, and more.

    Qualifications:

    Experienced in teaching or leading workshops

    Knowledgeable about waste reduction (reducing, reusing, recycling, and composting)

    Creative with reusable materials

    Works well with people of all ages

    Responsible, flexible, and positive

    Environmentally conscious

    Work Ethic:

    Punctual and devotes energy to students when leading workshops

    Communicates effectively with the Program Manager and other TGCR staff

    Responds in a timely manner to emails and phone calls

    Accurately reports workshop data

    Does not self-promote in ways that would take opportunities away from TGCR

    Community:

    Shows patience, empathy, and understanding to students, fellow Teaching Artists, TGCR staff, and other members of our community

    Works well on a team, builds community, and furthers our mission

    Accepts and respects of all demographics and lifestyles

    Advocates for and supports TGCR at all times by making monetary donations for personal materials (not those used for TGCR educational programs), attending events, engaging in social media, and/or promoting TGCR
