REUSE SUPPORT INTERN

 Turnip Green Creative Reuse is seeking a part-time Reuse Support Intern who will be trained and will support both in the Reuse Center and the Turnip Seed Community Garden. The Reuse Support Intern will be a floater in both areas and will be responsible for spreading our mission of "fostering creativity and sustainability through reuse.” 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take in material donations in the Reuse Center from individuals and businesses and organize using TGCR's material processing guidelines.

  • Assist in ensuring the sales floor is clean and organized.

  • Communicate with the Diversion Manager and Reuse Action Manager on tasks each week.

  • Support in reuse center building and garden maintenance, such as (but not limited to) planter-box construction, interior/exterior building painting, and landscaping. 

  • Support other Reuse Center operations at Turnip Green Creative Reuse as needed. 

This unpaid position is Monday - Friday, hours TBD based on availability. 

Temporary position through April with ability to extend based on performance.

  • Can lift 50 pounds

  • Comfortable and knowledgeable with use of power tools
