Join local herbalist Zol to learn about one of Tennessee's most special native plants. With many names, including its original name Ocoee, this beautiful flower offers wonderful soothing medicine for the nerves and the heart. We will talk about how to care for the plant and safely use its flowers to prepare a tea or tincture to care for their family.
As participants learn about this plant neighbor, they will use recycled paper, watercolors, fabric and other materials that they find inspiring to create an image of the May Pop flower which is like a magnificent mandala.
In addition, Zol is gifting participants their own May Pop baby to grow and care for at home.
